The Nullborn Warden
Entity Designation: Vortexbound
Ancient Title: The Nullborn Warden
Classification: Dimensional Guardian / Fractureborn Trial Construct
First Manifestation: Dimline Fog Ridge
Origin: Not born. Formed.
The Nullborn Warden does not hunt.
It does not patrol.
It does not roar.
It waits.

Early Art: The Nullborn Warden
The Warden manifests only where the Fracture Frequency destabilizes too deeply, where the fabric between dimensions thins and tests are required. Its existence suggests the multiverse does not merely fracture blindly. It responds. It adapts. It installs safeguards.
The Nullborn Warden is neither ally nor enemy.
It is a threshold.

The Fractureborn Context
Fractureborn are not accidents.
They are the multiverse’s response to dimensional rupture. Immune cells formed in the aftermath of fracture events, capable of surviving and stabilizing environments that would otherwise collapse.
Kaelith Vire is one such being.
Her origin predates the current conflicts on Urukesh, but her memory of that origin is incomplete. What remains is instinct, resilience, and an ability to endure forces that should destroy others. She does not remember becoming Fractureborn. She only knows that she is.
Her armor reflects this duality. In its relaxed state, it is dormant, contained, responsive but restrained. When empowered, it reshapes itself, amplifying her strength, perception, and survivability. This transformation does not originate from emotion alone. It responds to alignment with a passive signal threaded through the environment itself.
Kaelith does not escalate lightly.
When she fights, it is because escalation has already occurred.

Current Art: Kaelith updated style and relaxed armor state.
Dimline Fog Ridge
The air at Fog Ridge vibrates differently.
No blooms answer her presence. No local flora offers resonance or shelter. For the first time since awakening on Urukesh, Kaelith cannot rely on the planet’s surface responses. Instead, she looks deeper.
She listens.
The signal is everywhere. Not loud. Not directional. A passive broadcast pulsing through the terrain, through her armor, through herself, and outward into the infinite. It is not calling her. It is waiting to be aligned with.
She does not draw from it.
She syncs.
The response is immediate.
Her armor amplifies. Strength floods her limbs. Sensory input sharpens beyond baseline perception. The environment fractures into layered depth as her awareness expands.
And the Warden reacts.

Current Art: Kaelith updated style and empowered armor state.
The Trial
The Nullborn Warden rises from the fractured ridge, its eyes void-dark, horns curved like dimensional anchors driven into reality itself. It does not announce its intent.
It judges.
The Warden lunges.

Early Art: The Nullborn Warden lunging at Kaelith after she has tapped into The Signal.
Kaelith reacts on instinct, striking first, testing force against form. The Warden absorbs the blows, compensates, recalibrates.

Early/Alternat Art: First encounter of Kaelith vs The Warden. This was also the first time experimenting with different empowered eye and armor looks.

It grabs her, compressing her armor, attempting to extinguish the light it detects within her.

She breaks free.
Something deeper awakens.
Kaelith channels the signal directly, releasing a concentrated surge of frequency into the Warden’s mass. The effect is immediate. Its form fluctuates, destabilizing as if struggling to maintain cohesion. She presses the advantage, empowering even her physical strikes with controlled bursts of frequency.
The Warden adapts. She adapts faster.
Each exchange reduces it. Each strike cuts it down to size.

Early/Alternat Art.
Kaelith gathers power and releases a clean arc of frequency directly into the Warden’s head. The impact splits the air itself.

Early/Old Art.

Early/Old Art.

The Warden collapses.
But it does not die.
Its form remanifests briefly, distorting into a spiral of compression and release, withdrawing from the ridge with something that might be interpreted as laughter.
It was never meant to be slain.
It was a test.
And she passed.

Current Art: Kaelith updated power look. Iridescent light.
Aftermath
Kaelith stands alone in the silence that follows, breath sharp, memory frayed.
She does not know how she arrived here. She does not know who she was before the fracture. The signal pulses within her, steady, present, offering no answers.
Only continuation.
So, she moves forward.
